Amigas Blossoming

Cultivating meaningful friendship relationships adds tremendous value to our lives and can even lead to a longer and more joyful life. But we know it’s not always easy. We’re creating a space to get to know new people, have fun, and also celebrate one another during Women's History Month.

We'll facilitate a fun and interactive exercise to meet new people, honor what makes each of us unique, and plant seeds for meaningful connections.

Join us at The Pop-Hop in Highland Park, an independent bookshop and creative learning space that amplifies marginalized voices, for a night of creating and celebrating blossoming friendships. Tickets are pay what you can and you can register here.

Cultivating Financial Liberation

Join us for an empowering workshop where you’ll perreo your way to first gen prosperity, uncover the money beliefs that are holding us back, make talking about money fun and accessible, and answer your financial questions around budgeting, credit, and investing.

Our lead facilitator will be money coach Charly Stoever (they/them). Charly is a formerly undocumented digital nomad helping first gen clients embody their millionaire selves. Charly's clients go from feeling guilty and anxious about money to feeling empowered to make money moves and PLAY more. This event is in partnership with The Pop-Hop, an independent bookshop and creative learning space that amplifies marginalized voices, supports community growth, and empowers collective good works to build a healthier, more equitable neighborhood. Join National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)-certified fitness instructor, Brenda Gonzalez, for an upbeat HIIT class. Utilizing light weights and cardio, Brenda will guide you through an energizing workout that will help push you towards your fitness goals. You’ll leave this sweat-boosting session feeling invigorated and ready to take on the rest of your day while staying focused towards your dreams. Come ready to this virtual class with water, a yoga mat and light dumbbells (3lb - 5 lb).

Free Community hike

For Latino Conservation Week, Tamarindo is hosting a free community hike. This family-friendly activity is a guided hike from Sycamore Grove Park to Debs Lake for a spectacular view of downtown Los Angeles.

Meeting Location: Tennis Courts on the north end of the park off Ave. 49

Address: 4702 N. Figueroa St, Los Angeles CA 90042 (street parking available, give yourself 5 mins to walk from your car to the courts)

Time: We will be at the tennis courts from 6-6:30, the hike starts promptly at 6:30pm.

Tips: Hiking shoes suggested, but regular sneakers will be fine. This is an easy hike, but there will be a moderate and brief incline towards the top. The hike is about 1.5 miles round trip and should take less than an hour.

Self-Love con Corazón: (Feb. 23 at 6:30pm)
Join us for a night of conversation, workshop, and mixer to reconnect with yourself and others who want to give their corazón a little extra love! February is all about love and the longest and most important relationship we have is with ourselves, so let's get together to learn or refresh ways to show ourselves a little more love In 2023!

During this event we will..

  • Uncover the limitations/stories that we may have

  • Learn tools to start to break past these limitations and stories.

  • Identify and set powerful intentions for the rest of the year.

Join a 45-minute zoom class about the basics of podcasting from the hosts of Tamarindo Podcast, Ana Sheila and Brenda!

An Intention is a guiding principle for how you want to be, live, and show up in the world. Intention-setting is a mindfulness practice designed to help give you direction for how you want to show up in 2022
